What is 4K? | 4K and UHD same ? | explained

While buying television or phones we always get confused about which resolution  is better the 4K or the UHD?. Some people think that 4K is better because it's new its better but that's not the way to check ,4K is not new it was there in 20th century too. Everyone knows 4K beacause it is cheaper now days and easily available in the market. But today am going to tell what exactly is 4K? Is it better than UHD?

If you know about pixel and resolution , 4K resolution refers to the horizontal screen display resolution which has 4000 pixels arranged in order. The resolution of the 4K is an standard resolution. You know that the display contains many small units called pixel which combines and forms image according to image brightness and colour. So 4K contains 3840 pixels horizontal thats close to 4000 and 2160 pixels vertical so the total number of pixels in the display we get is approx to 8 million pixels in the display . It is called 4K because it contains 4000 pixels on the horizontal screen display . There's also an dominant variant of 4K display which is used in television now days that is 4096 × 2160 pixel. For 4K the resolution is four times the  HD resolution that is 1080p resolution , meaning if you arrange four HD displays in the shape of rectangle you get an 4K display. Can you imagine , its so big and clear when  image is displayed in 4K screen. In 4K you can create an content as well as you can record it. The total resolution of 4K screen is 8 million pixel because the length contains 3840 pixel and breath contains 2000 pixels so if you multiple you will get 8 MILLION PIXEL.

Now when we see the content it is necessary that you should have an 4K content. For example if you brought a 4K TV and you don't have any 4K image , videos or anything in 4K then there's no fun in watching. So unless if you don't have any 4K content then there's no need of 4K. You can record videos on 4K , watch movies on 4K also you can play games in 4K , but normal  TV shows which comes on television are not in 4K. In some 4K TV there's a feature called UHD upscaling this basically doubles the pixel of an HD display so at the end you will see an 4K display even when it is not 4K.

4K vs UHD
Now let's understand what's UHD , UHD means ultra high definition , ultra high definition includes two digital formats one is the 4K UHD and other is 8K UHD there resolution is different. 4K and UHD are not same at all , you see the advertisement of 4K display it is advertise in 4K but the its actually UHD.
Technically UHD is an inference of 4K resolution , in multiplex resolution the images comes in 4K resolution which is 4096 × 2160 but the UHD has an lower resolution than 4K which is 3840 × 2160. But when we mix together 4K and UHD we get the real 4K UHD .

I hope you understand about 4K and UHD so see you soon and good bie.
