Machine learning vs artificial intelligence
Many people heard about machine learning and AI(artificial intelligence) even though many products available in markets , different companies proclaim that there product has AI or machine learning , and we use this words in same place and get confuse , but these are totally different.
Machine learning - First, am going to tell you that machine learning is one of the allotment part of AI but still it is different. In machine learning a computer or any machine is taught with experience that how it can improve its understanding or how it can improve its performance. For example you have a robot, and you need ,to teach the robot to recognize dogs whenever a dog is front of it , so now you have taught the robot by showing different breeds , different angles , different gender the robot developes a pattern so next time it will understand which dog it is whenever any dog comes in front of it because it has the experience so it can easily recognize. But if other animal comes in front of it , then it will not recognize because it only has the experience of dog it is not coded for other animals. So what I mean is that in machine learning you target a specific thing after that the machine practice to recognise it ,and further improves it's performance for a specific thing. Machine learning uses statistical techniques to give computer system the ability to learn with data.
Artificial intelligence - Now when I talk about artificial intelligence what I mean is the system is intelligent meaning the machine not only learn's about one spicific thing but in general it can learn many things from its own input . Just like human , humans have there own understanding , creativity, intelligence it is similar to AI also. AI dosen't analysis a single thing ,it will see many things analyse it and then takes action from its own understanding. This is how AI works , well there are different type of AI like weak AI which not much powerful usually works on relative scale , and the strong AI are the high tech one which is powerful and can easily understand example if a AI robot is taught to play cricket it will learn but if we give the robot a hockey stick then it will try and finally will learn to play hockey.
Many MNC companies sell there product like mobile phone impressing customer to buy by saying that "this phone has AI buy it" its not AI but machine learning so don't get fool
