What is megapixel ? How important it's ? How to use HDR mode explained.
What comes in your mind when we talk about mega pixel ? Does that means the lense ? Does that mean the screen or Does that mean the colour ? Don't be confused today I will talk about the camera mega pixels and what it can do?
Now lots of people are confused about the mega pixel people buy phones according to the mega pixel which is higher but thats completely false , even if you have lower mega pixel it can perform better and can show clear image.
MEGA PIXELS-
First you need to understand what's are pixel . Pixel is the smallest physical point in an raster image , if you zoom in an photo you will see small sqaures like block this block are nothing but pixels. Mega pixel in other word is called million pixel so 1 mega pixel means 1 million pixel and that's is 10,00000 pixel. Now if you see inside the camera , after too many lenses at last you will find a sensor , now this sensor has millions of pixels and each pixel is enabled to capture informations such as light , color , brightness of image , the information stored in the pixel combines , processes it and forms an image on the screen of the phone. So more the pixel in the sensor more the detail image you will get so when you zoom in the image you will get the detail and absolute image because the pixel has captured the information in detail. But that doesn't mean that a good image quality if the size of the pixel is more if the size of the sensor is more or the lense is great then no matter what even if you have less number of pixel in the sensor you will get the perfect image. Now if the camera is of 1 MP then that's means the sensor has 1 million pixel and the resolution is measured as 1280 * 720. Meaning the length of the sensor has 1280 pixels and the breath as 720 pixels , now if you multiply 1280*720 you will get the number of pixels in the sensor. So if the camera has 1 MP it means that the sensor has 1 million pixels. You can see that if the number of pixels in the sensor is increased then the size of the sensor will increase automatically like for example if you compare the resolution of 1MP and 2 MP you you will find the number of pixels in 2MP is more that 1 MP and the size of the sensor is also big and that makes sense. Now if the number of pixels are increasing we have to make sure about the quality of image. Suppose there are two phones iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 s , now in these two phones iPhone 6 is of 8 MP and iPhone 6s is of 12 MP and if size of the sensor of these two phones are same then what does that means ? It means that when there was 8MP in the sensor then the size of the pixel was big , but in the same sensor when there was 12 megapixel the size of the pixel was small as compared to 8MP because when there was 8MP in the sensor and when it increased to 12 megapixel the size of the pixels of 12 MP becames small. If the size of the sensor of 12 MP becomes bigger then the size of the pixel will be also bigger. But in this case the size of the sensor is same and the number of pixels are more so because of this the quality of image will affect. Because when the size of the pixel was bigger it could capture more information about the image but when there was more pixel in the same sensor the size of the pixel became small so it could not capture the information properly and image quality is affected. So increasing the number of pixels doesn't means a better quality image , if the number of pixels are increasing then the size of the sensor should increase so that the size of the pixel becomes bigger and proper information is captured and the image quality is perfect.
HOW TO USE HDR MODE
The full form of HDR is high dynamic range this mode is available in mobile phone also and I am going to tell how to use it. If you click a picture of any object in bright light then you can't see the image properly also the camera doesn't capture it properly , similarly if you click image in dim light you can't see the image properly also the camera doesn't capture it properly. So to avoid this you should use HDR mode , the HDR mode doesn't click a single picture but it clicks three pictures in different exposures first it clicks normally , second it clicks with high exposure , and third it clicks with low exposure then this pictures are combined and forms a single image with proper brightness , and perfect image quality in which everything is visible. You should use it in bright light where the exposure is high and you cannot see the object or in low light where the exposure is very low and you cannot see the object , so by using this mode you can get a clear image in bright light or in low light.
This are the photos taken in HDR mode the best app to use HDR mode is google lense the best app to take pictures even if your phone doesn't support portrait mode the app will click image in portrait. So I hope you understand about megapixel and how to use HDR mode . So see you soon and good bie.
